1 – The Westin Excelsior Florence
It feels good to arrive at The Westin Excelsior: service is excellent, staff is more than helpful and friendly – professionalism is the right word to describe this hotel. There are many good restaurants in Florence, but after a long and exhausting day, there’s no better thing than ask room service a Florentine Steak (Bistecca alla Fiorentina) with french fries and a bottle of Chianti wine! The location is perfect: 3 minutes away from Ponte Vecchio, 10 from Santa Maria Novella train station and with an incredible Arno River view.

2 – Grand Hotel – The St. Regis Firenze
In front of the Westin Excelsior there is this splendid 19th century building overlooking the Arno that hosts the luxurious Grand Hotel. As you might know both Westin and Grand Hotel are from the Starwood group and you can expect hight quality services here too. In fact it’s hard to say which one is more beautiful and special. I recommend both!

3 – Four Seasons
When I think about Four Seasons in Florence the first thing that comes to my mind is the “Giardino della Gherardesca”. The hotel was inaugurated 2 or 3 years ago and local magazines and newspapers where talking about this wonderful private garden. I guess the idea behind the Four Seasons is to offer everything a traveler might want in the center of Florence: spa, swimming pool, ancient building with artistic painting on the ceiling, luxury. The hotel is in the center of Florence, but not exactly in the middle of everything: it distances 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco, 15 minutes from the Duomo, 25 from Ponte Vecchio (walking).

4 – Hotel Savoy
The Savoy Hotel is one of the jewels in the crown of the chain of luxury hotels owned by rocco Forte. The hotel, being located right in the centre of ‘old’ Florence (on the famous square of Piazza della Repubblica), enjoys the practicality of being next door to all the shops and tourist attractions.

5 – Villa Olmi Resort
Villa Olmi is an elegant hotel just outside the center of Florence; a great option for travelers that want to discover the small charming towns of the Tuscan countryside (besides Florence, of course!). Here there’s everything: luxurious rooms, pleasant swimming-pool area, excellent staff. It’s a place to relax and enjoy the Tuscan atmosphere.
